Catalyzing Agroforestry Grant Program

The Catalyzing Agroforestry Grant Program provides funding for projects that implement a variety of agroforestry techniques, including:

  • Alley Cropping

  • Forest Farming

  • Riparian Forest Buffers

  • Silvopasture

  • Urban Food Forests

  • Windbreaks

By supporting these practices, the program aims to enhance ecosystem health, biodiversity, and agricultural sustainability. Selected projects will receive financial assistance, technical support, and guidance from regional partners.

Funding Details:

  • Field-Based Practices: Grants of up to $1,500 per acre are available for alley cropping, riparian forest buffers, silvopasture, urban food forests, and windbreaks.

  • Forest Farming: Funding for forest farming projects includes up to $1,000 for 1/4 acre and up to $500 per acre for site preparation.

  • Reimbursement: Awardees will be reimbursed for project expenses upon completion.

This grant program offers a valuable opportunity for farmers to implement innovative agroforestry practices and contribute to a more sustainable agricultural landscape.
